This Bootcamp is organized by:

2 August, Friday

09:00 - 09:30: Welcome and opening address

09:30 - 10:00: Ice breaker and getting to know your future Young Founders community

10:00 - 11:00: Purpose and Project Wayfinder exercise from Stanford d.School

11:00 - 11:30: Introduction to innovation and entrepreneurship

11:30 - 13:00: Brainstorming and ideation sprint; Learn how to evaluate the ideas using the RWW Framework). Is the market real? Is it feasible?

13:00 - 14:00: Lunch

14:00 - 15:00: 60 second rapid fire pitches. Top ideas generated will be pitched and participants can start forming teams to work on the idea they like

15:00 - 16:00: Market sizing and customer discovery - Who really is your target market? Who's your beach head? How can you find out if they want your solution?

16:00 - 17:00: Competitive analysis and barriers to entry

Task for the day: Refine your solution, identify your target market, create a storyboard of your solution

(Formal teaching ends at 17:00, but teams should work on the tasks until whenever you decide to stop!)

3 August, Saturday

09:00 - 10:00: The "P" in Harvard Business School's POCD framework - People. Why the right people is everything to a business, and how you use Roles, Relationships and Rewards to improve it

10:00 - 11:00: Customer discovery: With your storyboard, interview fellow participants and solicit feedback on your solution to refine your unique value proposition

11:00 - 12:00: Introduction to Business Model Canvas: Revenue model. What is a sustainable business model? How do you estimate the amount of capital needed? Where can you raise money?

12:00 - 13:00: Go-to-market strategy. How do you get your first 100 users?

13:00 - 14:00: Lunch

14:00 - 17:00: "Consult a mentor" breakout sessions. Esteemed entrepreneurs and experts have been invited to mentor participants. They will challenge your assumptions, give guidance and help you move along!

17:00 - 18:00: How to prepare a killer pitch presentation and mock prototype

Task for the day: Prepare your pitch (a typical pitch presentation would be 10 slides covering the problem statement, market size, solution and unique value proposition, revenue model, go-to-market strategy, competition, team) and mock prototype

(Formal teaching ends at 18:00, but teams should work on the tasks until whenever you decide to stop!)

30 teams from 6 countries were chosen to come to Singapore to compete in the Semi-Finals.

One team has since built a business which processed >USD 50,000 of transactions; one has written a book to raise awareness and funds about elephants; and another has physically collected 1 tonne of recyclable materials!

This year, USD 15,000 of cash prizes are up for grabs.

The champion takes home USD 10,000, and a real-world, business building experience that is like no other.
